Ethio Real Estate Exhibition
Organized and hosted by Ethio Preview promotion and events, Ethio real estate exhibition was held on may 27 and 28, 2021 at Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa. The event was prepared in the essence and mission of promoting real estates that operates in Addis Ababa and connecting the buyer and seller in the real estate sector. The event gave both the real estates and buyers a good look at what is offered in the sector.
The event had 10 participants that are involved in the real estate sector. The participants were composed of real estate developers, management and marketing agencies. The event had a major media coverage from media companies like ESAT and AHADU.
Horra Real estate was one of the leading participants of the event. Our company used the event to showcase our offers and connect with our prospective buyers. The Event was a fruitful experience for both buyers and sellers.
Real Estate Growth in Ethiopia
Ethiopia has one of the most outstanding growth in construction in recent years. It is visible that the real estate sector has turned in to a major business and source of income for a lot of real estate developers. With the demand growing the supply of houses in the sector has also increased in supply even though it hasn’t fulfilled the full demand of the need for housing in Ethiopia.
According to AACA (Addis Ababa City Administration) The real estate and construction sector grew by an average of 14.1% per year, with the government being a major provider of land up to recent times, but now the real estate companies has been engaged in purchasing land from individuals that are found in significant places.
There are more than 400 companies / real estate developers that has been authorized and licensed by the housing authority but only few of them are being active participants in the sector. The sector has its ups and downs, mostly downs in the beginning of the market with real estate companies not being accountable for their words and dissatisfying their customers but that has seemed to change in recent years with real estates companies selling houses that are already built.
The real estate sector has shown a tremendous ability and growth as foreign companies showing interest and joining the sector as major competitors. Companies for China, UAE and Germany are few to mention that has joined the real estate sector in Ethiopia. It is exciting to see the benefit the sector can bring to the country’s economy and resolve the countries major problem in housing.
